Shane’s Luck O’ The Irish Potatoes

A Philadelphia tradition for more than 100 years, these sweet spuds are made with Sweetened Cream Cheese and shredded Coconut, then rolled in Cinnamon for a spiced, dry finish. Although Irish Potatoes did not originate in Ireland, the tradition of this confection serves as a memorial to the 19th century hardships in Ireland and was most likely created as a commemoration of the Irish Potato Famine that lasted from 1845-1851.
