ICE CREAM SODA TURNS 140
AT THE ICE SCREAMERS CONVENTION
(Lancaster, PA June 26-28th)
Exactly 140 years ago this June, a young soda fountain operator named Robert Green concocted a new drink to beat the competition – the Ice Cream Soda. The Berley Brothers will re-create the tale at the Ice Screamers Convention in late June. Toast Robert Green by ordering a float during National Ice Cream Soda Month in June.
Strawberry Lemonade
Strawberry Season is back and we have taken advantage of this fact to its fullest possibility! We will, once again, be offering fresh, cold Strawberry Lemonade using brilliant vine-picked fruits. Sure to satisfy even the most parched of our clientele!
Unsweetened Rooftop Sassafras Spearmint Sun Iced Tea
Our unsweetened iced tea is brewed on our rooftop using the only heat of the sun to bring out the flavors of Summer: sassafras, fresh sprigs of spearmint, and organic english breakfast tea. The strength of the flavors in each batch varies depending on the weather, but every sip is sure to be a refreshing complement to your ice cream. If you prefer a sweeter option, ask your soda jerk to sweeten your tea with syrup. We suggest Lemon or Simple Syrup.
Theobroma Beer Week Sorbet
Mixed with Dogfish Head’s Ancient Ale Theobroma, Our House Made Chocolate Syrup, drips of silky sweet honey and punctuated with hot spicy chillies, this LIMITED TIME ONLY Adult Sorbet in essence is the “Frozen Food of the Gods.”
Franklin Freezes
To commemorate the night a bolt of lightning electrified a key that dangled from Ben Franklin’s kite string, we created the FRANKLIN FREEZE, mixing one Thirst-Ade, one Ice Cream, and one Sorbet with the spindle of our lightning fast mixing apparatus. It shall refresh you, and send a pleasant tingle through your tastebuds.
Our staff recommends: Strawberry Lemonade with Lemon Sorbet and Dairy Free Strawberry Ice Cream

Tap a Keg of Glorious Chocolate
Glory used to tap the first keg. Now, a custom chocolate has been commissioned of Shane Confectionery so that everyone can get their handle on the hammer. Cast in dark chocolate and silvered with sugar, the Hammer of Glory’s head is filled with a rich ganache made from Dogfish Head’s Theobroma Beer. The flavors of Mexican cocoa and chillies explode with every swing. Available here online, at Shane’s, Standard Tap and during select Philly Beer Week events.
“Popped Corn! Get’cher Ball-Park Popped Corn Here!”
Lancaster County corn popped fresh and sugar-coated in copper kettles with salted redskin peanuts. It’s the perfect Father’s Day snack along with a trip to the ball park, or the parked car outside of Shane’s if you can’t wait.
